YUE LI

Yue Li is a San Francisco-based illustrator and designer from China. She is currently living in Savannah, Georgia, where she is pursuing her Master of Fine Arts degree at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Yue’s visual language is expressed through bold colors, dynamic lines, and abstract shapes. She enjoys working with both digital tools and traditional media such as gouache, and she also enjoys experimenting with other mediums, including printmaking, watercolor, and animation illustration. Her artistic influences include graphic flat shapes, ink brush lines, and screen printing techniques. Dance movement and music rhythms also inspire the energy and flow in her art.

Her art is rooted not only in personal memories, life experiences, and daily observations, but also in solving visual problems through collaboration with clients. She uses illustration as a tool to communicate ideas, tell meaningful stories, and create designs that are both expressive and purposeful.

Yue is passionate about publishing, editorial illustration, poster design, advertising, and surface design for products. As a hard-of-hearing artist with cochlear implants, Yue is especially dedicated to creating work that advocates for the Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and inclusive communities. For her, art is a bridge—a way to bring beauty, emotional connection, and support into the world. Yue believes that passion and curiosity are at the heart of creativity.

When she’s not making art, you can often find her dancing in the studio, walking through parks, browsing bookstores, or recharging with a relaxing film and coffee.
